About the Hike

Join us for an afternoon exploring one of Timmins' most beautiful trails while meeting fellow dog lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The hike will take place at High Falls. If you're able to park at the trailhead, the hike is approximately 45 minutes. Parking is limited, so if you park by the road and hike in, plan for closer to two hours.

The trail includes:

  • Uneven terrain
  • Hills
  • Rocks
  • Roots
  • Several steeper sections

Participants are welcome to hike in either direction, creating natural opportunities for dogs to calmly practice passing one another in real-life situations while respecting everyone's space.

🅿 Parking & What to Bring

Parking at the trailhead is limited. Arrive early to park closer — if you can park inside, the hike is about 45 minutes. If you park by the road and hike in, plan for closer to two hours. Please wear appropriate hiking footwear and bring water for yourself and your dog.

Community Meet-Up Rules

Our goal is to create a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone.

  • Dogs must remain on leash at all times.
  • No retractable leashes.
  • No on-leash greetings unless both handlers clearly agree.
  • If two unfamiliar dogs greet, greetings should last no longer than three seconds, after which both handlers should continue walking.
  • Respect everyone’s personal space, including both dogs and people.
  • Not every dog wants to socialize, and that’s perfectly okay.
  • Give extra space whenever another participant requests it.
  • Allow faster hikers to pass safely.
  • Please clean up after your dog.
  • Dogs showing signs of illness should stay home.
  • Bring water for yourself and your dog.
  • Wear appropriate hiking footwear.
  • Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult.
  • Follow any directions provided by the organizers for safety and trail flow.
  • Participants attend entirely at their own risk.
