The Pet Pantry
Sponsorship Information & Community Impact
A Pantry for Pets, Built on Community
The Pet Pantry is a community-driven program that provides free pet food and essential supplies to families going through a tough stretch, so that financial hardship never forces a family to part with a beloved companion. Operating entirely on donations, the Pantry quietly delivers dog food, cat food, litter, and waste bags to households across the Timmins area — keeping pets fed, cared for, and home with the people who love them.
Why the Pet Pantry Matters
Keeping families together
Pet food is one of the first expenses families cut when money gets tight. The Pantry helps bridge that gap so a temporary setback doesn't become a permanent separation.
Reaching the right people
Requests come in privately from households in real need. Each one is reviewed by hand, and supplies are delivered or picked up discreetly — no public lines, no stigma.
Dignity and privacy first
No names are required to request help. Contact details are used only to coordinate delivery and are never shared.
100% donation-powered
Every bag of food, box of litter, and tank of gas for deliveries is donated or purchased with donated funds. There are no administrative fees taken from Pantry contributions — 100% goes straight to helping pets and their families.
How the Pantry Works
To ensure donations are distributed fairly and reach as many families as possible, the Pantry follows clear, consistent guidelines:
- Households may submit one request every 31 days.
- Up to 8 requests per calendar year per household.
- Service area covers Timmins, South Porcupine, Schumacher, and Porcupine.
- Delivery and pickup options are available, with evening delivery to accommodate working families.
- All recipients agree to a waiver confirming items are for their own pets — not for resale or redistribution.

About The Northern Collar Club
The Northern Collar Club is a canine behaviour training and wilderness adventure organization based in Timmins, Ontario. Beyond training and adventure, we believe a community is measured by how it cares for its most vulnerable — including the pets who give so much to the families who love them. The Pet Pantry is one of the ways we put that belief into practice, alongside The Next Chapter Fund, which directs proceeds from our Canadian-made merchandise to rescue and community-care initiatives.
