Rain, Snow or Shine
This is a rain, snow or shine event. Participants should expect to be outdoors for approximately 2–3 hours and must dress appropriately for the weather. Please take precautions to protect hands, feet, and face from the cold — especially when attending with young children.
All parade entries must be moved into the designated marshalling area by 4:30 p.m.. The parade route runs throughout Downtown Timmins.
Dress Up & Light Up ✨
Wear lights. The parade steps off at 6:00 p.m. — after dark. Please wear string lights, LED accessories, reflective gear, headlamps, glow sticks, or battery-powered fairy lights so spectators and vehicles can clearly see you and your dog. This is about safety first, and it looks fantastic too.
Dress up! Santa hats, reindeer antlers, ugly sweaters, festive onesies, garland, tinsel — go for it. The more festive, the better. If your dog is comfortable wearing a costume or bandana, they're welcome to join in the fun too (never force it — your dog's comfort comes first).
Layer up underneath. Costumes are great, but warmth matters more — wear thermal layers, warm boots, gloves, and toques under or over your costume. You'll be outdoors for 2–3 hours in November weather.
